Theme: Who Woke You Up?
Editor's Message: Waking up...and Staying Awake!
Dear Ones,
At 7:55 am today I was in my car dropping my 10 year-old off early for
Orchestra.
Now, I'll admit, driving car pool is not my idea of a spectacular way to
begin a day.
But, driving with an Abraham-Hicks tape in the CD player can certainly
turn a day around.
As I listened to the tape, I found myself becoming attuned to higher
order thoughts and I felt myself easing into a more empowered emotional
state.
Starting my day with the wisdom and humor of Abraham's energy moves me
into a positive energetic state which positions me to move smoothly and
at peak effectiveness through the rest of the day.
So, my first questions to you on this beautiful Monday morning are:
~ 'What did you choose to tune
into when you began your day?'
and
~ 'Do you appreciate how important that choice really is?'
I recall how, years ago, I
believed that I was at the mercy of my thoughts and my surroundings.
When something 'good' happened I would feel good and when something 'bad'
happened I would cycle into a negative loop.
I had no idea, back then, that what we focus on expands and that, by
proactively selecting what to focus upon, we can influence not only what
we feel but also how events transpire.
A chain of wise teachers 'woke me up' to the truth of our personal
creative power.
Among them: Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer and Neale
Donald Walsch.
I recall that I avoided Neale Donald Walsch's first book, 'Conversations
with God', for a quite a while.
I remember seeing the cover in a bookstore and not knowing what to make of
it. I also remember the day that, on a lark, I purchased the book to read
on the train on my way home from Manhattan.
What a powerful impact that book has had on me.
The question (paraphrased): 'How would you show up in the world if you
thought that everyone was watching you?' really stopped me in my tracks.
Concepts like 'making a paradigm shift to be: do: have' and 'becoming the
grandest version of the greatest vision that you have for yourself' are
now among the core foundational concepts presented within the Prosperity
Partnership Program.
One of the most intriguing elements of the 'Conversations with God' series
is the chance to witness Neale Donald Walsch as a reluctant messenger -
often questioning whether the conversation he was having in his head was
real or whether it was of any value to others.
He writes that his decision to publish the first book had less to do with
his own confidence that he had written truly 'inspired' material, and
everything to do with the reactions of the people who read early versions
of his manuscript.
They told him how the book made them feel.
They told him that, as they read the material, they found themselves
feeling lighter. More expansive. Uplifted.
And this is certainly the case for me personally.
The books of the CWG series reside on the top shelf of the barrister
bookcase in my office.
'Return To Love' is on the same shelf as is 'The Seven Spiritual Laws of
Success', 'Seat of the Soul', 'Anatomy of the Spirit' and 'Ask and It is
Given'.
Each of these works have played a significant role in the shaping of my
understanding of how to be a deliberate creator. Each of these authors has
provided an important key that has led me to further unfolding.
I love being surrounded by this wisdom - immersing myself in these truths.
And the people who have been drawn to the Prosperity Partnership Program
express similar sentiments.
When we attend workshops and seminars, read books by our favorite authors
or listen to their tapes and CDs, we feel as if our perspectives have
expanded.
Yet, when we put the books down, we find it challenging to hold on to the
new beliefs in our daily life.
This desire to 'plug into Truth' and to be reminded of it on a daily basis
is something that all Prosperity Partnership members have in common.
Whether they began their spiritual journeys in childhood, or whether they
have more recently been nudged onto this path, PPP members share a sense
that there is an underlying wisdom pointing them in a specific direction.
On classes, they delight in the synthesis of seemingly contradictory
information from the realms of science, personal development and practical
spirituality.
Between class sessions, in discussion groups, they marvel at the ease to
which they are able to apply what they have learned to both shift their
energy states on demand and to become magnetic to miracles.
This notion: that universal truths are being spoken by many messengers and
that it is time for us to move into daily practices which evoke the true
power of this wisdom - is what binds us together.
PPP members personally experience the validity of Caroline Myss's
assertion that, 'we evolve at the rate of the tribe that we are plugged
into.'
To bring this article full circle, a movie version 'Conversations with
God' is coming out in theaters this weekend.
You'll likely hear about this from a number of sources today - including
many I have mentioned previously in this piece.
Arielle Ford sent me a personal request to spread the word.
It feels wonderful to join together with so many people I admire - to
speak with one voice and to focus on our shared mission of upliftment.
I'd like every one of you to have a similar experience this week, so here
are my suggestions.

27, 2006 and in Canada, November 10. We highly recommend that you go see
the film this weekend. We need more films like this in theaters and the
best way for us to support the filmmakers is to show up on opening
weekend! Let's show the media and the studios that we will turn out to see
a movie about love and compassion, not the Hollywood formula of fear and
violence.
